Hello Visitor,

MRS BARNSHAW’S WRITING AWARD TEA PARTY

Over the last two weeks I have been joined by the following children for my Writing Tea Parties. If your child has been selected for the award, you will receive a copy of their piece of writing and the certificate. Please talk about the writing with your child and of course praise them for their hard work. Thank you children, I am very impressed with your work! Best wishes from Mrs Barnshaw.

NEW PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

ptaIf you would like to be involved in our new Parent Teacher Association, please come along to an initial meeting on Tuesday 2nd May at 6p.m where we will explain what we are hoping to achieve. Any interested parents/carers/grandparents/ aunties/uncles who might like to come along to this meeting are very welcome. If you are certain that you will come along please leave a message at the office so that we know roughly how many chairs, cups (and biscuits!) to prepare. Many thanks.

TRI-GOLF 29.3.17

Ten Year 4 children took part in a Tri-Golf competition at Collingtree Golf Club on Wednesday. They participated in a variety of different golf activities that needed both putting and chipping skills. All the children had a great time, showed great support for each other and fantastic sportsmanship. Well done to all the children who took part: Ava, Sheza, Michelle, Gabia, Pragathi, James, Finnlay, Tyrell, Aqil and Luke.

RECEPTION NEWS

EasterImage

The Reception children enjoyed an Easter Afternoon with the children from Campers. They all had a wonderful time going on an Easter Egg Hunt and engaging in a variety of Easter activities! They even learnt a new song about a Spring Chicken!

AND FINALLY...

School closes today for just over two weeks and re-opens on Wednesday 19th April. We hope that the weather improves enough so that the children can spend lots of active and enjoyable times outdoors in the sunshine. As always, we would like the children to continue to practise their literacy, numeracy and creative skills via their homework challenges (and especially lots of enjoyable reading and sharing books with adults) but it is just as important that they rest and relax so that they are fit, refreshed and ready for the challenges of the new term ahead of them.

We look forward to welcoming you and your children back to school on Wednesday 19th April. With best wishes to you all from everyone at Hunsbury Park.
