https://www.askideas.com/media/07/Good-Bye-Facebook-Cover-Picture.jpgGOODBYE AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OUR YEAR 6 CHILDREN!!!

The end of another school year has arrived which means that we are about to say goodbye to another group of Year 6 children! They have developed into confident learners during their time with us and we have been proud of all their different achievements at Hunsbury Park. New and exciting times lay ahead of them as they face different challenges and meet new experiences at secondary school. We hope that they will remember all the skills they have learned here and continue to build upon them successfully and happily in their new schools. We very much hope that they will take away happy memories

of Hunsbury Park Primary and that they look forward to creating many more new ones. Good-bye and good

luck Year 6! Our good wishes go with you all.

From everyone at Hunsbury Park Primary School.

FOREST SCHOOL CLOTHING

If you have any grown-out-of wellingtons or raincoats that your children no longer need, please donate them to our Forest School.

Many thanks from Mrs Hughes.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our fundraising by bringing in your pennies.I am delighted to announce that during this academic year we have raised over £650 to supportthe work of CHILDREN UNITED and the Kodai Kanal Orphanage in India. Just 10p is enough to provide a hot meal for a child. Well done to Sun Bears in KS1 and to Elephantsin KS2 for raising the most money this term.

Thank you very much to everyone from Mrs Hughes.

EAR PIERCING

Please ensure that if you plan to have your child’s ears pierced during the holidays that you do so as soon as the holidays start. Thank you. This gives them the required 6-week healing period before they are able to take them out. Children must remove earrings for all PE lessons and cannot take part otherwise. Thank you for your support in this matter.

FRIENDS OF HUNSBURY PARK PRIMARY

We would like to say many thanks to our newly formed Friends of HPPS group who organised and ran the discos this week and have been selling ice lollies and ice creams after school on Fridays. Every penny raised will help the school to buy new resources and equipment. Thank you very much all FOHPPS members! If you have not done so already, please consider volunteering your services at future events or even joining the group. Thank you.

FINALLY

We would like to wish all our families a happy summer break. We hope that the children will enjoy their rest, have lots of fun, be active and continue to learn. There are plenty of learning websites to explore and the local libraries are running ‘The Summer Reading Challenge’ once again. (This takes place every year during the summer holidays. Children can sign up at the local library and then read six library books of their choice to complete the Challenge. There are exclusive rewards to collect along the way, and it’s FREE to take part!) This year the theme is ‘Animal Agents’.

We urge everyone to have happy and SAFE holidays and look forward to welcoming back everyone on Tuesday 5th September when school opens for a new year of exciting learning. Take care everyone!

Best wishes from everyone at Hunsbury Park Primary
