Hunsbury Park Primary

Teaching and Learning

From September 2014, it became a statutory requirement for schools to follow the new National Curriculum as set out by the government. Here at Hunsbury Park Primary School, we aim to achieve this through the collaboration of all staff, governors, pupils and parents, by providing a carefully planned curriculum, enriched with a variety of exciting learning experiences in order to develop lively and enquiring minds. Children are challenged and supported to achieve highly as well as taking into consideration their individual needs, talents and interests. We aim to encourage an enthusiasm for learning that enables children to have the skills that they need to be the best that they can be.

Keeping Safe at HPPS

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
  • The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Gail Barnshaw (Head teacher).
  • The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead are Mrs Jo Fantarrow and Mrs Helen Bambridge.

When coming into HPPS please remember:

  • Personal mobile phones are NOT allowed to be used or available for use whilst working with a child, group or class. This is to safeguard both the child/ren and you.  This is a non-negotiable rule.
  • Visitors or staff who do not have full DBS clearance wear a YELLOW lanyard.  This means they are NOT allowed to work unsupervised with a pupil or group.
