Nursery

At Hunsbury Park, we are thrilled to announce the recent expansion of our school with the opening of our very own Nursery. We have made the exciting decision to lower our age range, now welcoming children from the age of 3 for their pre-school year. Looking ahead, we have plans to further extend our provision to include children from age 2 in the next academic year. This initiative marks a significant milestone for our school community, as we strive to provide an exceptional foundation for early education.

Previously, our Nursery was independently operated by our much-loved former Chair of Governors, a cherished figure who played a pivotal role in our community and dedicated many years to supporting local families. It is our mission to continue her legacy by nurturing the relationships she built and enhancing the Nursery provision to continue to serve our families.

Our Nursery is designed to provide a nurturing environment, where we embrace a child-led and child-centred philosophy that prioritises each child's unique interests and developmental needs. Our holistic approach fosters a language and communication-rich environment, enabling children to express themselves freely and develop essential skills.

We are proud to offer a diverse range of exciting opportunities and experiences, allowing children to learn through play and exploration. Our Forest School sessions exemplify our commitment to developing outdoor learning, encouraging children to connect with nature.

The presence of our Nursery on the school site presents an invaluable opportunity for a seamless transition for our children as they progress into Reception. We understand the importance of this transition, and our dedicated team is committed to building children's confidence, nurturing their natural curiosity and making their transition into school happy and successful.
